Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park flight safari Uganda

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe by local flights up to Apoka airstrip

Either on arrival from an international flight or from a hotel within Entebbe, you are transferred to Entebbe International Airport for a flight to Kidepo Airstrip. The domestic flight to Kidepo is scheduled at 12:30pm and arrival at the airstrip is at 14:45pm. Arrival at Apoka park headquarters, check in luxurious Apoka Lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Morning and evening game drive in the park

In the morning after breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive through the park in search for wildlife. Taking the Kakine circuit, you may come along wildlife like the Buffaloes (highest population in Uganda), waterbucks, Jackson’s Hartebeests, Rock hyrax, Elands (biggest antelopes), warthogs, Giraffes, Zebras, side striped jackal and many more. Some of the bird species seen here include the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, cisticolas, secretary bird, vultures, crested Francolin and many more. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the evening, get back to the jungle on an evening game drive. This time take the Nagusokopire circuit in search for more wildlife and enjoy sunset views. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight. Day 3: Morning game drive and evening nature walk

Early this morning, you have breakfast then embark on another morning game drive. On this day, you head north of the park going past the Nangea ranges, the Boma (breeding point for some animals in the park) and the Kidepo River-lined on the banks with Borassus palm. The drive on this circuit offers chance to see wildlife like the rare cheetah, Dik Dik (smallest antelope and endemic to Kidepo Valley National Park) and any other species. The Ostrich is seen in this side of the park. After the game drive, return to your lodging facility for lunch and refreshment. In the evening, you embark on a guided nature walk along with an armed park ranger. Taking the East Kakine circuit, you will have a chance to get very close to wildlife and experience the true African wilderness. After the nature walk, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 4: Transfer back to Entebbe by local flight

In the morning, you have your last breakfast at Kidepo then prepare for a flight to Entebbe International Airport. The domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport scheduled departure at 15:00pm and arrival into Entebbe airport at 16:30pm. You then connect to your way forward flight.
