This 4 Days Rwanda Golden Monkey Tracking & Gorilla Trekking Tour Uganda is a gorilla trekking safari in Uganda and a golden monkey tracking safari in Rwanda. You 4 days trip in Uganda and Rwanda offers a gorilla trekking experience in Uganda as well as golden monkey tracking in Rwanda.
Arrival will be at Kigali International Airport where from you transfer to Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. After the trek, you then return to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey tracking.
Both Mountain gorillas and golden monkeys are rare and endemic to the Virunga Mountains therefore this trip offers a perfect opportunity to see these beautiful species. This trip is available all year round and is a private tour that can be undertaken by any kind of travelers.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali International Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 3: Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes and transfer to Lake Kivu
Day 4: Relax at Lake Kivu and then transfer to Kigali International Airport
Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park located in the North of Ruhengeri via the dramatic and beautiful terraced hills of the land of a thousand hills. Lunch will be en-route. Transfer to the border point between Uganda and Rwanda at Cyanika then proceed to Kisoro town overlooking the virunga volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at – Gorilla Valley Lodge. Full Board. Breakfast not included on the first day.
Note: You will quickly and easily identify the driver to welcome you. He will be holding a signpost with your names on it
After an early breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing and by the mid-morning, start your gorilla trekking expedition in the lush forest vegetation of Bwindi national park. It is quite strenuous and requires fitness through the long hours of anticipated gorilla tracking, sometimes taking 2-7 hours of trekking. Other sights on the trails may include monkeys, birds and several butterflies. Spend utmost one hour with the gorillas and then retire to your lodge happy to have made the trip. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
By late afternoon, begin the journey back to Rwanda. Arrive at the park and check into your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation is at Muhabura Hotel
In the early morning, spend time at leisure or take the boat tour to the Napoleon Island – a popular bat island and many other interesting things. Encounter fishermen boats as they sing to the sea while catching fishing in their traditional local boats. By afternoon, begin the drive to Kigali and final drop off.
The boat excursion is booked onsite and will be paid directly on-spot
