Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla trekking is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences in Uganda. The adventure takes you deep into the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you walk through beautiful tropical forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.

Once you find the gorillas, you are allowed to spend up to one hour watching them in their natural home. You may see them feeding, playing, resting and caring for their young. Seeing mountain gorillas at close range is a special experience and one of the main reasons many travellers visit Uganda.

The trek can take a few hours depending on where the gorillas are located. Some trails can also be steep and challenging, but experienced guides and trackers are there to assist you throughout the journey. Gorilla trekking is one of the highlights of a Uganda safari and a wonderful experience for wildlife and nature lovers.

Chimpanzee Trekking

Uganda is one of the best destinations in Africa for seeing chimpanzees in the wild. Chimpanzee trekking takes you into Uganda's tropical forests, where you follow experienced guides and trackers in search of habituated chimpanzee groups.

Kibale Forest National Park is Uganda's most popular destination for chimpanzee trekking. The park is home to a large population of chimpanzees as well as several other primate species.

Once you find the chimpanzees, you can watch them feeding, climbing trees, playing and communicating with each other. Their active and social behaviour makes chimpanzee trekking an exciting wildlife experience.
