10 Days wildlife, chimpanzee & gorilla trekking safari in Uganda is a wildlife safari to Uganda as well as the chimpanzee and Uganda gorilla trekking safari. The 10 days tour in Uganda offers a chance to visit the top wildlife viewing parks as well as trek the chimpanzees among the highest population in the world.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to lodge in either Entebbe or Kampala – Uganda’s capital
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest & visit Bigodi swamp
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park
Day 5: Morning game drive and Evening boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 6: Game drive in the Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – 2nd deepest Lake in Africa
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and have an evening game drive
Day 10: Have a morning walking safari and transfer to Entebbe International Airport
Upon your arrival through Entebbe International airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and be transferred to your overnight hotel in Kampala.

After breakfast, drive south west of Uganda to the town of Fort Portal and then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. Lunch en-route. Arrive at Kibale forest in the evening and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, you’ll have briefing session by the park officials and later set off to the rainforest on the chimpanzee tracking adventure. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening, take the Bigodi swamp walk. Bigodi Swamp is popular with many swamp endemic birds. The swamp is also a major livelihood for the local community through tourism and crafts. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the largest parks and home to several species of mammals. Lunch at a lodge in the park. Later on have an evening game drive in the savannah plains with sights of Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hyenas, stripped jackals, Hippopotamus, Kobs, Warthog and a variety of primates like Chimpanzee, olive baboon, red-tailed and vervet monkeys in the forests. Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice

After breakfast, drive towards Kasenyi and visit the crater lakes, Edwards and George which has been popularly marked as the mating ground for several antelopes, particularly for the Uganda kob. You may be lucky to also sight more wildlife that may include lions, buffaloes, elephants, and other animals. Head back to your lodge for lunch and then proceed on an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. Enjoy the rays of the setting sun on the launch cruise. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

From Kibale Forest National Park you then are driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second popular and most visited Uganda wildlife safari park. You arrive in time for lunch and then go for an evening game drive in the savannah plains where you can sight wildlife like Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, hyenas, stripped jackals, Kobs, Warthog, hippopotami. After the game drive, by sunset you are transferred to a prior booked accommodation where you relax and spend the night.
Drive time: 4 – 5 hours.

Midrange accommodation: Enganzi Lodge / Ihamba Safari Lodge
Breakfast at leisure and then drive through Ishasha sector the area famed for the tree-climbing lions. Lunch in the Ishasha sector. The region is famed for the tree climbing lions and a chance to spot them is by luck. After the game drive continue to Bwindi impenetrable National Park on a scenic drive. Check in at booked accommodation and spend the rest of the evening at relaxation.

After an early breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing and by the mid-morning, start your gorilla trekking expedition in the lush forest vegetation of Bwindi national park. It is quite strenuous and requires fitness through the long hours of anticipated gorilla tracking, sometimes taking 2-7 hours of trekking. Other sights on the trails may include monkeys, birds and several butterflies. Spend utmost one hour with the gorillas and then retire to your lodge happy to have made the trip. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a drive through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Lake Bunyonyi near Kabale in the Kigezi region. Lunch at the lodge Lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon you have a wonderful experience of nature with a guided canoe excursion along the Lake, for birding, exploration and visiting local places. In the evening relax at the lodge, dinner and overnight.

Have a morning nature walk in the park and then transfer to Entebbe International Airport with a stopover at the equator. You reach in the evening in Entebbe International Airport and final transfer to the airport for a departure flight.
